This bowl is a scarce piece from Chance Brothers’ celebrated 'Spiderweb' series, first introduced in 1934 and designed by Robert Yorke Goodden it was apparently styled on Lighthouse lenses. The vertical ribs on the interior catch the light while the exterior’s concentric rings create a dynamic optical shimmer, a hallmark of British Art Deco glass. Around 1950, Chance Brothers added the 'Matthey Crinkles' finish, a technique that bonded sugar‑crystal‑like colour to the surface. This bowl has finish in pink and the presence of this finish places the bowl’s production to that time. Great for trinkets or to add to your Chance Brothers' collection of glassware.
*This will be bubble wrapped and posted in a flat box to protect it. The item weighs 530gms so postage refelcts accordingly.
