RUSTING
Our products are supplied UNRUSTED as standard (refer picture 2) and will develop a completely unique rusty patina as they weather in the elements. This maintenance-free weathering steel compliments both rustic and modern gardenscapes and houses and makes the ideal gift for avid garden lovers.
Watch your garden art gracefully change colour with the seasons!
In its raw form, Corten Steel is dark grey in colour. Once the steel is exposed to the elements, it gradually evolves in appearance as a weather-sealed patina appears on the surface protecting the steel underneath from corrosion for many years to come. This beautiful patina begins bright orange in colour and, gradually over time, naturally transforms and darkens until reaching a shade of charcoal. If you live in an area with high humidity or near the sea you may notice this process taking place much sooner.
*Please note, this steel is not suitable for painting.
We welcome enquiries for custom designs and can create using a variety of materials such as Stainless Steel, Mild Steel, Corten and more. If you have an idea that you would like to bring to life, contact us today for a custom quote!
